Frequently asked questions
Practical guidance for Sevloom Cloud, the mobile app, and the page API.
Sevloom is a mobile paging experience for signals that need human attention. It presents the context your system sends and records who acknowledged each page.
No. Your monitoring, application, workflow, or support process decides when to create a page. Sevloom is the focused mobile destination for that page.
Severity is chosen by the system or person creating the page. An error can be SEV-1, SEV-3, or another level depending on impact. Sevloom displays SEV-1 through SEV-5 and lets the phone use a different sound for each level.
Sign in to Sevloom Cloud, create a service, then generate a short-lived pairing code. Enter that code in the Sevloom mobile app to associate that phone with the selected service.
Yes. Create a separate pairing code for each phone. The service owner can view registered devices and remove a device at any time from the Cloud dashboard.
A page should include a severity, title, message, source, environment, and a stable deduplication key. Optional metadata can provide operational context without forcing every integration into a rigid event model.
No. Do not include credentials, private keys, API keys, account numbers, or sensitive payloads. Use a concise message and a safe reference to the system where the responder can investigate.
The public API contract is documented so developers can prepare integrations. Sevloom Cloud capabilities are being introduced progressively; check the API documentation for the current availability of each feature.
